I really like this bevel gauge. However be aware that this is quite large and may not be suitable for measuring angles on smaller items. You want to get a smaller version of this bevel gage.

I actually needed this for quilting. I needed to make a wedge that was 11.4 degrees. It worked beautifully !!!

I didn't know my aluminum share sucked until I checked it with this. After using the Wixey to mark line on the counter top, my project starting going a little more smoothly. It is very handy for replicating angles that aren't 90 degrees.

I purchased this product last month. Upon rapid delivery (unexpected and unrequested), I discovered that the batteries would not last even for a few hours. It would even eat the battery when in the OFF position. I then purchased new batteries (CR2032) and the same results. When I called the seller (Acme Tools), they immediately shipped me a new protractor. They could not have been more pleasant to deal with. They included a no charge return label. All I had to do was drop the defective unit off at any USPS store.Sadly, the new one had the SAME problem. So I emailed the manufacturer (Wixey). I said, "There must be an excessive leakage current that is eating up brand new batteries". Within a very short time I received an email from Barry Wixey. He agreed and said, Send it back to him. "We will correct the problem and send you a brand new one."I did. He shot me back an email after receiving it and said, "We have found the problem. We are recalling 900 of them. I am suprised you are the first to notice it. We have corrected the problem and I am sending you a new one immediately." And he did.In all cases I paid for NO shipping. The new one works fine. And THAT is what I call Supreme customer service! My ONLY regret is; I wish ALL other companies would do the same. Sadly that is NOT the case.Thank you Amazon, Acme Tools and a most gracious owner/manufacturer (Barry Wixey) of Wixey Intelligent woodworking.carl dixon
