I own a cabin high in the Rocky Mountains of Utah. I wanted to be able to see the landscape when sitting in my chair relaxing and also be able to lean on my railing. I just finished adding new decks front and rear. I decided to use pine logs right off my property to keep the cabin feel. I ordered the 1500 ft. roll that includes both the stainless cable and a cable cutter. The cable did not fray when cut and the included cable cutter worked like a charm. I used about 1100 feet of the cable, so many cuts were made. Recommended! I learned a few things along the way that were helpful. Below is a list of items I purchased from Amazon. Lets start off with the cutters, you need them (unless you have a pair of this specific type of cutters). You may have tin snips, wire cutters and all sorts of thing, but if you don't have actual cable cutters, your ends will be a mess. Look at the picture that i posted of the spool on its' side, that was after i cut about an inch off. This is something that any other kind of cutter wouldn't be able to do as it'd just spread around, but as you can see, these cutters did it perfectly smoothly..I already had a pair of quite expensive cutters, but as often as i use stainless cable, i wanted another pair to keep in my tool bag so they'd be easy to get. These cut as well as the cutters that i paid more for that didn't come with cable.There isn't a lot to say about the stainless cable, it meets the technical description which doesn't leave much room for change. Great cable, but you knew that based on the specs of it.TLDR: Proper cable cutters are pretty much mandatory, so when shopping, keep in mind that you probably need them if you were thinking about getting just a spool of cable.

I ordered stainless steel 1/8" wire rope that is supposed to be 316 marine grade stainless steel. What I received was an unmarked roll of 1/8" galvanized wire rope. No markings of any kind on the roll. 316 stainless steel has almost no magnatic properties because it has a minimal amount of ferrus metal in it. What I got was vey magnetic and after being wet it was apparent it was not stainless.
