This set allows you to change the camshaft without having to remove the oil pan. Fits Chevy 283-305-327-350-400 small block engines. Product artived as described. Installed with the gasket provided and cober leaked from the bottom part. Took cover off and pit gasket maker on it and it still leaked. Had to bang bottom part in with hammer to get it to seal correctly.

box came with the ends taped . it looked as it was opened and resealed . It did not have all parts as it was described to have . I returned it to CFR Performance . returned the first one due missing the timing cover flange . So I reordered , The second one came from TSS PERFORMANCE . I open the package and guess what it is missing a crank shaft seal . Save yourself the hassle , go to your local speed shop and buy off shelf , yes it will cost more but it is worth it . Also remember it does not come with the oil pan gasket ,but we never use it anyway because it would leak so remember that you will have to due the RTV bead for that seal . Also I would only recommend you use this set up if you are into the timing chain a lot .

Nice looking piece,better quality than I was expecting,i haven't installed yet but I put a straight edge on all mounting surfaces and they were nice and flat not expecting any problems, came with nice gaskets also and mounting hardware,defininatly will order again

Warning! DO NOT BUY THIS PART! First of all it didn't come with the bottom rubber seal that goes between the oil pan and the cover. I had to make a trip to the parts store and purchase a whole new timing cover gasket set to get the rubber seal. The gaskets that come with it are about 1/4" wider than they need to be so they had to be trimmed and the holes for the guide pens are too small, I had to open them up with a drill bit to get them to fit. After that frustration, I installed a new timing chain and gears, put on this junk of a timing cover and found that I had a serious oil leak at the bottom of the cover. The cover seems to be too short to make contact with the pan at the bottom. I had to take everything apart, again, and tried sealing it with a good bead of silicon but after putting it back together, it still leaks! I finally took it apart a third time and put the original timing cover back on, (with another set of new gaskets)and I no longer have an oil leak problem.
