OMG...love these things! Hooks on either side retract so the folder becomes a regular expanding file folder. When you need to put it away, just extend the side hooks. Best of both worlds. Price wasn't too bad either. Will probably purchase more.

I got these for some homeschooling crates so i needed sturdy to accomodate daily use and kids. The plastic is nice for this and the size is just right. The only real complaint/frustration is that the hangers are retractable. This seemed great in theory. However, they slide too easily and are constantly coming off. I have had to glue them into their extended state, but other than that, love them so far

Unlike many of the expanding files on the market which require you to put an unsecured cardboard strip in the bottom of the file, these files actually have accordian bottoms that fold out as contents increase. While this is definitely a better build, because the folders are made of plastic, I do have some concern as to whether the rigidity of the plastic will actually allow the bottoms to fold out as needed. As for their length, the sided folders do seem to easily accommodate differing numbers of standard-size papers. One last thing worth noting is that these folders do not come with plastic tabs for labeling, though they do have the papers inserts.

It's a cheaper material and easily tears but I am making it work.If you want durability choose a higher price product.

I gave this a 4* because I do feel they are a little pricey. I also want to bring attention to the prongs on these file folders. I didn't realize that the side prongs on these folders are adjustable (they pull out and push in). These folders would be most useful as mobile folders instead of permanently in a file drawer. Using the folder in a mobile manner will allow the prongs to be pushed in, eliminating it from catching onto anything.

Tired of things falling out the open sides of regular hanging file folders. These seem sturdy. Nothings slid to the bottom of the drawers. They're even holding my mountain of owners mamuals.
