the char is nice on these. It adding color to moonshine in just a couple of weeks. I need to carve them down more to fit into growlers. But a half a stick in a half a gallon appears to be the right amount. I'm going to wait 6 months to try.

If they were made to fit through the bottle opening they would be better. Also, you have to filter your bourbon after using, because small pieces come off of the sticks. Does make bourbon darker with more flavor.
