Who would have thought a rice paddle could stand up on its own? Well, this one does. I was surprised and immediately tried it out, evidenced by my photo.The paddle or scoop area is made of quality silicone, is sturdy and can withstand high temperatures. The silicone is non-stick, which is a nice feature on a rice paddle. I always need to soak my plastic ones after they are used for rice because the rice sticks to it. That’s not the case with this one as it cleans up effortlessly without having to soak. The handle is comfortable to hold and is made of some sort of hard wood. Instructions say it is dishwasher safe, but I will wash mine by hand to keep the wooden handle in good condition.The serving size is nice and will be used not only for rice but for our hot cereal and mashed potatoes too. I’m sure I will find many other uses for it. This was a good find for me at a good price. I hope this review was helpful and you’ll give it a try.
