Of the three pieces I received, one was dead. I noticed that the USB cord was attached upside down, and I discovered that it had been soldered to the board backwards, with polarity reversed. To ship a dead product with such an obvious and egregious defect, the manufacturer must not even be looking at the products when they come off the assembly line, let alone testing them!The other two pieces do function, but the volt and amp readings do not agree with each other or with known good meters.These are trash.

This stuff lets you quickly identify those obsolete chargers and cables that only can put out 5 Volts 1 Amp, and throw them away. Modern phone and tablets need 9V, or 12V, and more than 1 amps.You plug your device through this little gadget and immediately see if it is getting 5 Watts, or 17 Watts.I started with one and then bought more, now have them in every charging location.

After reading the bad reviews I ordered anyway but cautiously. I can report that the bad reviews were correct. These are all plugged into the same USB hub, one reads 5.09 volts (which is the right number) and the other two read 7.61 and 7.55 volts. Seriously, 1 out of 3 isn't good. These are useless and I am returning them.

The two that work, work as intended and I'm happy with. There was one DOA. If seller fixes this I will change to 5 star rating.
