There was some confusing info in the product description which lead me to believe that this would work with my DJI RC 2 remote for my Mini 4 Pro. I understand more about this now, but this confusing info might lead others to accidentally order this as well.When doing a quick search in the product description to see if it would work with my drone, I saw that it is compatible with "DJI Mini 4 Pro accessories". This is incorrect, since this cover only works with the RC remote, and the Mini 4 Pro only works with the RC 2 or the RC-N2 remotes.Further, another part of the description says:"180 Degree Angle Adjustment: The upgraded DJI RC 2 sun shade allows 180 degree angle adjustment and what’s more, the hinges can be tightened or loosened which solved the problem that the hood is easily flap up and down which exists in other version"Well, this cover doesn't work with the RC 2, so this entire bullet point of info is meaningless.Just generally looking at the cover, I believe it would probably work with the RC remote (which I don't have), but I'm not sure how much confidence I'd have in it. Adjusting the cover is difficult, and it almost feels like the plastic might break when I change the angle.I'm taking one star off for how flimsy it is, and another star (maybe I should have removed two) due to the bad product description.

I got this kit mainly for the sun hood for my new DJI Mini IV controller. I don't plan to use the lanyard strap that often myself but it is a nice quality strap and I can see it coming in handy if using the drone in a location where I'm walking a lot.The hood itself I think is decent quality but it came with no instructions and I had to figure out how to attach it. There are some notches on the back that I first thought were supposed to go around the antennae and I was struggling to find out how to detach the antennae to attach the hood but it turns out they are just notches that go around some symbols that relate to the antennae, I believe. Once I realized the the hood would go around the antennae as is, it was not difficult to get it attached. It's not a completely perfect fit -- the part along the bottom sticks away from the body a little but the included thumbscrews take care of that issue and make it snug. The other fit issue is that with the hood on, the antennae stick out a bit and do not lay flat. I think if the back were just a bit thinner this would be an issue but I'm not sure if the plastic material makes that feasible. In any case, there doesn't appear to be an official hood like this to compare to.These are kind of nitpicks but once the hood is attached, it sits flush on top of the controller well. The hinge is not too stiff but there is an included Allen wrench to adjust the hinge screw as needed. My only other real nitpick is that the hood covers the area on the underside where you would store the joysticks. With the hood you can leave the joysticks in place on the controller so that is not really a problem, I just found it personally annoying.Lastly, let's talk about the screen protector. I was not impressed. I have put many screen protectors over several of my devices over the years so even though there were no instructions, I know the process pretty well. I spent a good deal of time cleaning my screen and making sure it was completely lint and dust-free. Then, in a brief moment of time between taking the protective film off the screen protector and putting it over the screen, a large piece of lint made it under the protector. My guess is that the protector had a static charge to it and pulled some lint out of the air. I have never had this issue before. I pulled off the protector, cleaned the backside of it and the screen again really well, and tried again but now, because the underside of the protector is a bit sticky, there were now several tiny pieces of dust between the screen and the protector leaving several small bubbles. Thankfully, they are not visible when the screen is on but be warned you might have to affix the screen protector in a clean room while wearing a hazmat suit. I'm kidding, of course, but this would be less of an issue if it at least came with more than one screen protector.All in all, most of my criticisms are small nitpicks and are probably things that would not bother most people. In actual usage of the hood, I found it works ok but it is missing any sort of coverage on the sides like most sun hoods would provide so you only get glare protection if the light is coming from the direction facing you. In this respect, I think this is a compromise between a true sun hood and a protective hard shell case. Given how expensive this controller is, I appreciate the added protection and the screen is bright enough to compensate for the product's lack of light blockage from the sides.

I use this sun hood on a DJI RC controller and it's made a huge difference on my ability to see my RC controller's screen in bright sunshine. Installation is pretty simple, and takes all of 2-3 minutes with the included instructions. Once installed you leave it in place. You fold it up at whatever angle is best for your situation (adjustable continuously through a great range). When the RC controller is not in use, it stays in place and protects your screen, and your joysticks. Not having to remove your joysticks after each flight is a huge advantage. Recommended.

The add states it fits the RC2 but shows photos of it on a RC1. I looked at several to try to make sure I got the right one. Several other adds state RC1 but show the RC2 remote. I was hopeful this was actually what’s show in the photo and not what it says. Sadly I received exactly what the add says and not what they show in the photo, needless to say it does not fit.
