This is a solid chuck manufactured to high tolerances with virtually no runout. The finish is superb. It arrived with two collars to aid in determining the diameter of the bottle stopper, and it also came with a steel rod to help tighten the chuck. The chuck has serious heft, weighing in at 684g, or about 1.5 pounds. It fit perfectly on the 1"-8tpi thread of my lathe. Unfortunately, the chuck arrived without the promised 7mm drill bit, and the packaging made no mention of the bit either. Other than that, this is a good tool that I intend to use for small bowls and containers instead of only bottle stoppers.

I bought this to simplify my process. I’ve yet to use it for bottle stoppers but it is excellent for the turkey pot calls I’ve been making. Very good quality, love it!

No issues with this chuck; it functions as advertised and is a great asset for my workshop. The only issue I have is that I didn't receive the advertised 7mm drill bit, which was a bit of a letdown.

The live tailstock adapter adds incredible functionality to my wood lathe, allowing me to control larger and more difficult projects from both the head and tailstock. I can use any drive mechanism I need to from the headstock while maintaining perfect balance and safety from the tailstock. I used this to safely manage a large opening in a project for a wooden urn, allowing me to use a lathe chuck on the tailstock I otherwise wouldn't have been able to use. This fits in any morse taper 2 bore and has the standard 1 in 8 thread pitch, meaning all of my current accessories fit this adapter. This is a very worthwhile addition to any wood lathe.

I have ordered a few tools from this company and no problems. I like how they are built and I he quality is good however I didn’t receive the wrench. Not a deal breaker but would be nice to receive one then I will update my review.

Oh Yeah. Can you say AwEsoMe? I can say AwEsoMe very loudly for this BMWOOD Live Tailstock Chuck Adapter. First off - like everything else I've seen from BMWOOD - this is a quality well machined piece of kit; it has nice bearings, the m2 is spot on, and it is nicely machined. What I like best is the 1" * 8 thread on the end - I can connect any of my 8 chucks (with or without adapters) to this live center. That means a work piece can be held at the tail stock and at the head stock. That's awesome. out of balance, out of round - not a problem. Holding possibilities (with a little ingenuity) are get pretty close to endless with this live center. All the different jaws can be used, anything that can be fabricated that those jaws can hold. I put a 3/4" x 6" bolt in a chuck and ground the end with a grinder, removed the chuck from the head stock, and put it on the BMWOOD center adapter in the tail stock. Bingo! a 6" extended (Plenty-O-Clearance) live center. Anything with 1" 8TPI female thread can be screwed onto this without a chuck and fabricated to suit your needs. I could go on all day with why I think this is awesome - just use your imagination.7 Super Novas for The BMWOOD Live Tailstock Chuck Adapter~ Thanks for Reading – Have an Incredible Life ~

I was impressed when I got this lathe tailstock adapter by it's weight, finish and smooth turning arbor. I also have a chuck by this company and both of these tools are nicely finished without rough spots or defects. The MT2 taper of this adapter fits my lathe well.Another reviewer was concerned because this doesn't come with a wrench. I thought I didn't need a wrench to come with it till I found my adjustable wrenches weren't big enough for this. I'm lucky enough that I have a faceplate wrench that came with a lathe that also fits this adapter. Otherwise I'd have to get something. The wrench has to have an opening of 1 5/8 in.
