Using these strainers is so much easier than pulling gunk from my sink which is absolutely gross. I use these strainers for about a month and then I replace. Stuff does get caught in them and I use a small paper towel to wipe it out. They are very cheaply made and therefore don't last. They can't be washed and shined up, once the shine is gone it's gone forever, I simply replace it with a new one. I figure four bucks a month for my two bathrooms isn't bad. It does a great job for not too much money. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

Like that the screen is fine mesh, compared to others, and will catch practically everything. Didn't understand how it's a frequently returned item. Fits our basin well and ordered more.

Seamlessly fits in the hole exactly where the metal is already located around the rim. It has good drainage, just make sure to clean it after a few weeks of usage. Looks nice, especially for the price!

Good fit. I have tried many different sinks strainers and the problem is generally that you find yourself having to help the gunk over a lip to get into the catch basket. This product is slanted so that the gunk falls in easily with the flow of water. The only reason it clogs easily as other comments indicate is because it's a fine mesh, so it's catching stuff most strainers would otherwise pass through. A light tap a couple times against the inside of a trash can is enough to clean it out. You want to get picky, use an old toothbrush.
