Item works well for the intended purpose. I don't think the design of the refrigerator is particularly good - needing to replace the filter every 6 months. What happens is when the filter needs to be replaced, it doesn't cool as well as it should. so, its not like replacement is optional. However, I have the fridge so it will be a necessity for the foreseeable future. I'm glad this one is available. It works well. The fridge is back to cooling properly.
