Follow these steps on how to replace your BMW key fob battery with ease:

1: Remove the Mechanical Key: Press the small tab on the side of your key fob and remove the metal valet key.

2: Open the Key Fob: Removing the key will reveal a small gap. Use the valet key, a small flathead screwdriver, or a paperclip. Insert it into the slot and gently twist to pry open the case. Some BMW key fobs may simply have a slide or push button that releases the back battery cover.

3: Replace the Battery: Take out the old battery and insert the new battery with the positive (+) side facing up.

4: Reassemble the Key Fob: Snap the key fob halves back together with your fingers, reinsert the mechanical key, and test the fob to ensure it works properly.

This remote key fob battery fits perfectly in my BMW 328xi device. Very impressed.Mine was getting a bit weak, and not always working when I first pushed the buttons. But now….it just takes one push and everything works. Easy to install and a great value for the money spent. Hopefully the battery will last quite a while.Very pleased and highly recommend.

BMW is demanding when it comes to key batteries. This one works. It is a little pricey though. I will see how long it can last.
