Simple and effective. Considering the amount of force I had to apply to loosen the sprocket nut (I used a 10 foot steel pipe on the breaker bar) I'd say that the teeth marks that the sprocket left on this tool were insignificant. See attached pic.All in all, this tool did a great job at a very competitive price ($7.99 at the time of review).

Yes, you can use a cut to size block of wood, but why when there's the proper tool available for the job... Had to remove and replace my compensator on my Harley and this worked perfectly... protected the gear from damage and locked it in place so I could get the compensator off... Keeping this little gem handy in case I need to break into there again...
