They looked great but were already chipped when I received them.

That's kind of a silly question. Of course I used it in the bottom of my roaster to keep what I'm cooking up off the bottom of the pan

My wife and I had some old rakes and needed to get new ones. I found these and they are great. Heavy duty and easy to clean! We love them.

Vorsicht!

Until now, folks who typically prepare meals for one or two people often face a conundrum imposed by makers of cookware or bakeware that’s geared toward families the size of the Waltons – lots of the pots and pans out there are just too darned big to be useful. That’s especially true for roasting pans and racks. Do you have a 20-pound turkey to roast for Thanksgiving? Sure, they’ve got oodles of huge racks for that job. Roasting 2 turkey thighs for an intimate dinner? Either repurpose a flimsy cooling rack or do without.I’ve had trouble finding suitable – and high-quality – roasting racks for my smaller kitchen tasks. But this set of two roasting racks from Fivebop hits all of the marks for me.SIZE: At 8 ½ inches by 12 inches, these racks fit perfectly in a 9 by 13-inch oven pan or on a quarter sheet pan. This is the ideal size for roasting a chicken, a pork loin roast, or even a rack of lamb. Being able to use the racks in a smaller pan also increases flexibility, since most countertop ovens can accommodate up to a 9 x 13 pan.STURDINESS: These racks are *not* made of flimsy, low-grade metal like most cooling racks. As you can see from the comparison photo, there’s a significant difference between the roasting rack and a regular ol' cooking rack. I think the metal used for the Fivebop racks is approximately 1/8 inch in diameter, so there's no buckling or bending. They're also manufactured to be stable and level, so you can say goodbye to "rack wobble."NON-STICK: I can personally attest to the effectiveness of the non-stick coating. Some sticky substances like the sauce used for making char siu pork – or barbeque sauce for ribs – may adhere to the surface. But just a squirt of good dish washing soap and a soft sponge works wonders.CLEANUP: If you don’t want to clean them by hand, the racks are dishwasher safe. I’ve run mine through several times already (on the top rack) without noticing any degradation of the non-stick coating.THE BOTTOM LINE: Well-made and functional, this set of racks is a good addition to smaller household kitchens. And at a price-point of $20 for a set of two, they’re also an excellent value.

These are really heavy gage, stainless, nonstick coated racks. I have an old antique oval roasting dish from my great Grandmother that I needed a rack for and this fit it. The rack can easily hold a large turkey and can be used in a rectangular pan or oval, I will be using it in both. I didn’t need two but you get two, I will share the other one. The quality is very good, much heavier then expected, it’s black and coated in nonstick so it’s easy to clean. I would recommend these.

The description photos with food on the racks are completely misleading. These are about the size of a large hand with the fingers spread out. If I put a turkey on top, you wouldn't be able to see the turkey at ALL, let alone any garnishments as the product photos show. With that being said, these are sturdy enough to where I am pretty sure 1 can handle a 20-25lb turkey without bending or anything, but the edges would most likely lean over the rack. I put them in the dishwasher at the bottom on the heavy/high heat setting and these came out looking the same as before I put them in.

These racks are heavy and great for broiling. You can use them inside any pan you currently have as long as the pan is big enough. I like this because I don't have a lot of extra room to store a big broiler pan with a rack. One rack will work for broiling two smallish sirloins, which is what we primarily eat. When we can't cook them on the grill outside, we broil them in the oven., These racks do the trick. If you have a very large pan, you could fit both racks in it at once, or you can use them with two separate pans to do two larger steaks, or 4 smaller ones. I am very happy with the quality. I was worried they would be more flimsy, like cooling racks, but that is definitely not the case.
