I finally got the chance to use this painters tape over the weekend to paint a small area in my kitchen. Full disclosure…I’m not a professional painter by any stretch of the imagination. So here are my thoughts. It’s only 1” thick and for someone like me, I probably should use something wider but this is what I ordered. I have trim molding on my walls and this tape isn’t super thick so adhering it on the small edges and angles of the trim was easy. It was easy to reposition and it stayed in place and adhered well despite several times repositioning it in some areas. I painted my wall. Let it dry for 24 hours, then put a second coat on. I really pushed the paint into the edges of the trim and door jam to be sure I got a clean line. About 12 hours later, after the second coat was dry, I pulled the tape off. It came off cleanly and no paint penetrated underneath. So it performed well, which is what you want in a painters tape. I still have plenty of tape to do more areas so for the price, it performs well, will go a long way and does its job.

While I bought this tape for its intended purpose - masking off while painting - it ended up coming in quite handy last weekend when I needed to swap the battery in my car. I'm pretty klutzy, and I like to tape off any metal bits when working around a battery because I just KNOW I'll end up touching a metal tool to a live wire somehow. So I used this tape to tape around the battery poles and connectors to keep everything neutral. I was pleasantly surprised that it stuck just fine despite there being battery acid crumbles. The bright yellow was nice for spotting where things were when I was reassembling too.The tape tears of the roll easily and the edge wasn't hard to find or start. I'd say it is stickier than typical blue tape. It was easy to remove. The light bright yellow color is superior to the blue because you can write on it and easily read what you wrote, unlike the blue tape.

I got this medium tack green tape because I was told that it's more flexible than blue painter's tape. Since I had a roll of the blue tape I tested each of them and determined that there's no difference. They are equally easy to peel and apply, and the green tape doesn't leave any residue when lifted. If someone is expecting a more stretchy tape they will be disappointed but if someone wants a good quality painter's tape that happens to be green, this is a good brand.

It's a bit darker in color for painters' tape but it gets the job done. I'm currently using this and none of my art has come down nor has the paint on the walls, so it's getting the job done.Pro(s): Stays on the walls. Darker blue.Con(s): N/A.

This is an honest and unbiased review of item :.DOAY 2 Pack Blue Painters Tape - Masking Tape 1 Inch Wide - Multi-Surface, Smart Adhesion, Indoor & Outdoor - 180FT Total - Paint Tape for DIY, Labeling, Art, Car, General Purpose (#3910) (Blue)DOAY 2 Pack Blue Painters Tape - Masking Tape 1 Inch Wide - Multi-Surface, Smart Adhesion, Indoor & Outdoor - 180FT Total - Paint Tape for DIY, Labeling, Art, Car, General Purpose (#3910) (Blue).I am a contractor of 30+ years and pretty much use masking tape every day for one purpose or another..So, when i saw this blue tape i thought i'd give it a shot. This tape at $5.00 for a 2-pack is easily half the price of the brand name tapes of the same dimensions ( 1" x 90' ). I wasn't disappointed. This tape performed as well if not better than any of the brand name tapes that i have used before. The adhesion is great ... yet removes easily with no sticky residue , the edges seal nicely ( no paint bleed ), sticks well to any type of raw wood, painted wood / walls, or any rough surfaces..This tape is perfect for painters / contractors / or homeowners. I use it to tape up floor perimeters when painting baseboards, to mark out spots for electricians to know where outlets are to be installed, for taping out designs to be painted on walls. I also like to use small pieces to mark spots where i've had to touch up spackle spots ( white spackle on primed white walls is difficult to see ) so, instead of wandering around blindly, the pieces of tape show me exactly where i touched up spackle that needs to be sanded before the finish coat of paint is applied. This tape can also be written on with a sharpie. I've used this tape to mark out electrical wires as well..This tape has multiple uses and in my opinion ... is quality made and performs well. I really like this tape and would highly recommend it.

I do woodworking as a hobby and I am always in need of good masking tapes (many uses in woodworking shop). Some tapes are too weak to hold and come off easily and some are too strong and leave residue on the wood, which messes up the finishing process and requires a lot of sanding which also gums up the sand papers. This tape is very nice, strong and holds tight on multiple types of wood. I tried it on pine, poplar, pre-finished hardwood plywood and red meranti. The tape stuck to all of them firmly and when removed, came off without any residue. The red meranti was very rough sawn so when the tape came off, there was minor flecks of wood on it but no residue on the wood itself. I have other strong blue masking tapes that remove large chunks of wood when removed. The other good use for this tape for me is marking things around the shop and even marking pieces of wood during a project. The color stands out so very easy to see and writings on it are very easy to read, even when the writing is with a pencil. Pencil is hard to read on blue tapes.I am very happy with the quality of this tape. Will get more when I run out of these.
