I got this for my father inlaw, I know he sometimes struggles to get in and out of the car, but this handle gives him the support he needs,and it has been very useful for him.It's nothing to setup, all I did was tell him to put this handle into the vehicle's u-shaped door lock latch, just show him once and he understand and know how to use it. I will show him the rest of this handle's features, like cut the safety belt and glass puncher, but age ppl need time to learn one by one.It’s a small item, but it makes a big difference for him.

Now, with one simple move, it becomes an instant handle making for an easy exit from the vahicle.To be honest, all the talk about cutting seatbelts and breaking windows made me skeptical of this handle...when am I going to want to do that? And I definitely don't want to do it accidentally! But fear not, there's no change of accidentally causing damage. In practical terms, this is a nice tool to hook into a loop you never noticed, which results in a hanldle to help you out of the car.

I ordered the 2-pack car door handles for my elderly family member, and they are even better than I expected. They’re a bit bigger than I thought, but that’s actually a good thing—they feel strong, heavy, and really solid in the hand.The non-slip grip makes it easy to use, and the extra features like the window breaker and seatbelt cutter are a great bonus for safety. This handle became essential the first time a family member with a mobility disorder tried it. We use it every single time for getting in or out of the car, with no exceptions. It fits easily in the side pocket of the passenger door so that it is readily available for every transfer. It's great that this is a two-pack, because we are keeping one in every car now.It works an absolute treat! It hooks into the standard latch on a car door frame and provides a hand hold at the exact moment that it is necessary. It is simple enough that elderly people will have no trouble figuring out how to use it.The seat belt cutter is a nice feature. It's pretty well protected within the housing of the handle, but it also has a red cover just in case, so there's no possibility it can cut anything unless you intend to do so.The windows breaker is covered by a rubber cap, so there's also no possibility of misuse.

I transport quite a few seniors in my car and some need a bit of help getting in and out. This is perfect! It gives them something strong and stable to hold onto rather than relying on someone else to give them that stability. In the case of a driver being physically compromised themselves, it also protects them from being injured while trying to help.This car handle assist is especially valuable when the ground has ice or snow on it. The height of installation is ideal because it provides assistance near the height of the car’s seats.Elderly men especially don’t like to ask for help but if all they are doing is hanging onto something that is temporarily part of my car, then usually that doesn’t really count as someone helping them!Outside of that volunteerism, I still never know who I may end up giving a ride to. Maybe it will be my friend’s mother who is a very substantial woman. Or maybe it will be transporting a family member from a soccer game with a newly-sprained ankle.The foam on the handles is a nice touch especially for elderly people with little natural cushioning on their bones. It would also be appreciated by people who are quite heavy to relieve so much pressure being applied to one spot.As for the seatbelt cutter and the car window breaker, it has been on my to-do list for years to put one of them in the driver’s door pocket. Everyone should always have these in their car and now I finally do. Even if there is no coupon or discount this set of 2 assistive door handles is just $26.

These are well made and sturdy. It's a great deal that it comes with two in case one is misplaced or can't be found quickly when it's needed, you'll always have that back up. I like that there is a seat belt cutter as well. The handle feels lightweight, but strong. Overall I'm happy and feel much better having them just in case I ever need them.
