After the wildfires, some areas were left without potable water, which made me realize the importance of having an emergency water storage solution. I picked up the Yonawlsy Foldable Water Storage Bladder with the intention of using it for situations where we might be without water, whether from a wildfire, hurricane, or other disaster.The water bladder is designed for just such emergencies. When not in use, it rolls up into a compact, space-efficient package, making it easy to store in our emergency kit without taking up much space. I can easily see myself pulling it out in the event of an impending hurricane or wildfire evacuation, knowing that it’s a reliable way to store water. Given our location in the foothills, I appreciate how quickly and easily it can be deployed to fill up a bathtub in case the water supply gets cut off. This is especially important if we find ourselves without utilities for an extended period.The bladder is made of heavy-duty food-grade plastic, so I feel confident that the water I store in it will be safe to drink. I ordered this as part of my “apocalypse kit“. That’s just what I call the stuff. I keep on hand in case the power goes out. I recently started collecting rainwater and I tried to rain barrel and that worked out well, but I also wanted to keep extra water on hand in case the power went out during hurricane season. Not so much for drinking, obviously, but for flushing the toilet washing clothes and bathing. These bags, there are two of them, hold an enormous amount of water and would be enough to get me through two weeks of no power. I filled one to see how it held the water, but I didn’t fill it to capacity. I did put two pallets outside one for each water bag. I did put old towels over the pallets, but there was nothing to pierce the bags anyway. I filled one bag half to capacity and that went well. It holds the water and it doesn’t leak. I’ll water the lawn with this water and when hurricane season comes, I’ll fill both of them to be prepared. I think this is actually a good idea and one that I’ve been thinking about but haven’t really found a solution I was looking for. This is it. If you think about it, for a pretty low price, you can give yourself enough water to make it 2 to 3 weeks if you can serve. If you’re someone who likes to be prepared and you don’t wanna fall out end of days preparation, this is a good option to have a water source during a power outage. I’m very pleased with this order and the price point is right. The material is thick. I would recommend it for this purpose. You could also use it for gardening, but that’s not what I got it for.
