I ordered these gloves for my 9 year old daughter. She has long fingered petite hands. I ordered the size large and they fit her well with a little room to grow! She loves the way they fit and feel on her hands. They're lightweight and breathable! We live on an acreage and she is always playing outside whether riding bike, hover boarding, building forts, or playing on our playground - these gloves work great to protect her hands from cuts and scrapes. Great piece of safety gear - five stars!

Perfect for aerial obstacle course work. The size Large gloves fit my 13 year son snuggly, and the size Medium fit my 10 year old daughter perfectly. They worked well for their aerial obstacle course event. I knew their hands would be sore using all the cables, so I wanted to make sure they could participate for as long as they wanted. These gloves worked great, they both climbed for 2 hours straight, and their palms were in great shape. Both liked having the ends of their fingers free to maneuver the carabineers. If your older child has larger hands for their age, I would suggest you look for an adult size, these are on the smaller side. However functionally I would recommend them.
