The actual bolt size to close the shackle is 3/4-10 thread, which means 0.75" diameter. The shackle itself is marked 5/8 on the casting, but is more like 0.575". The throat is 1.125" wide. Nice plain old-fashioned shackle.

The d-ring itself is smaller diameter then I thought it would be.

These D-rings are the toughest I have found for those little jobs that need the strongest strength to do the big jobs.

Bout the 2 pack of the 1/2 shackles and the finish had some chips and the pin was actually orange even though the pictures show red. Bout them to match my fourwheeler and they were orange. Super frustrating considering there were cheaper non painted options I should have bought instead.
