I had to remove some africanized bees from under our shed. Along with a full bodysuit, it kept me from being stung. The drawstring closes up under your chin. Before I got the face net thing, I was stung 3 times when I first stirred them up, and they chased me for about 75 yards while running full speed. Quite freaky, even after fully suiting up. I have never before seen bees that aggressive.

There is no way to adjust these - I got them because they are advertised as 21.6, and I have a smaller head. I KNEW they were not high quality, but all I need is one week of bug proof hat(s) for a trip. Unfortunately, these are 23 inches and will stretch larger - so they are for a big head, not the 21.6" and larger as advertised.

I bought these for my preschool classroom and they lasted a day before the wire came out and I had to remove them for safety reasons. If you have a gentle child it may hold up better.

I don't know how well they would stand up to bees or wasps and don't want to find out. We do have a lot of gnats and tiny flies that attack every Sept-Oct and make outside time unenjoyable. My whole family wears them and so do many of our friends. We call them gnat hats and are very effective at the price.

Habe den Hut für spontan vorbeikommende Besucher bei mir am Bienenstand gekauft, sodass diese ein wenig vor Bienen geschützt sind und in Ruhe zusehen können. Für diesen Zweck sehr gut geeignet, die Hüte lassen sich klein zusammenlegen und sind gut zu transportieren.Selber bei der Arbeit mit den Bienen würde ich diesen aber nicht verwenden, hier sind jene Modelle die Armschlaufen haben und bis zur Brust gehen wohl besser, weil die Bienen auch nicht an den Hals kommen können.Bei der Lieferung etwas seltsamer Geruch, der aber nach ein paar Stunden verflogen war. Gegebenfalls sollte mit Dusche/Gartenschlauch abspülen das Problem aber wohl auch lösen.

My husband works in a place that is inundated with giant mosquitos that nightmares are made of.Millions of the things.... Well, I bought him two of these Mosquito hats and showed them to him and he immediately said, "You wasted money on these. I will never wear them."Well, he cannot stop thanking me for these hats, he asks me to buy them for his trucks and the other guys that work with him... I am now up to having bought 18 Mosquito hats to date, the last 12 arriving day before yesterday.Every time he has them on, he says, "I can't thank you enough for these. They are lifesavers..."So, these are a total win for hunters who do any kind of "Swamp Hunting" or "Fishing" and the mosquitos are flooding you, looking to drain you... They really work well.

I bought these because my bees were pestering me and my better half in the garden this summer. They are cheap, light weight and easy to put on and remove. Just what I wanted. Don't buy these and think you can do a full hive inspection in them without being stung. That isn't likely. But I do use them for quick in and out checks and filling the bees feeders. They are adequate and easy. We find we use them frequently in the garden to keep the mosquitos and biting flies at a distance. The brim is wide enough to keep the veil off of my face. When friends stop by and want to see the bees, this is a handy, safe face protection to provide them. And they seem to be study enough to last a season or two. I will buy again because they serve a purpose.
