These relays look really cool because you can see the inner mechanisms but they are definitely not waterproof. The housing shifts around if you tug on the plugs and it definitely won't keep water from getting in. I am planning to use this inside a housing of a headlight, so it will be somewhat protected from the elements, but I put some silicone sealant to attach the outer case to the internal bits. Even so, over time, I'm sure that humidity and moisture will likely get in and cause corrosion. Buy it for novelty but not for a part you don't want to worry about.

These flashers do advertise that they'll behave like normal with LEDs but they hyperflashed or didn't flash at all with a few that I tried. I put in a resistor and they flashed like normal. Other than the misleading name they work just like normal and are easy to use.
