Won't stick to anything. Never even plugged it in since it is unusable.

I used this on the crank case of my Quincy QT-54 air compressor to keep the oil warmer during the winter. It significantly warms up the oil after a few hours on and the compressor starts much easier because of it. On the dip stick the oil is like luke warm which Is much warmer than the 20 degree shop it’s in. The only thing is it’s probably a good idea to use some extra adhesive to stick them on. I didn’t and they were kinda peeling off at first even though I heated both the case and the heating pads. But they seemed to have stuck down pretty good after the pump ran for a while and warmed up.

This seems to heat well, but I haven't as yet used it for long periods of time. A different reviewer seemed to have trouble with it overheating. This hasn't been the case for me, but if it becomes a problem I will revisit my review. It doesn't stick well, so I would be mindful of that and make sure your surface is as clean as reasonably possible.

These heat up and work fine. The adhesive was fine to adhere onto my oil pan, seems to be good quality.Great for cold mornings starting my truck, didn't want to install a block heater so this is a good alternative and easy to install.Cord could be a touch longer, other than that it's perfect.

I put one on my engine oil pan and the other on my transmission oil pan. They're fairly low wattage so I leave them plugged in over night when the temp. is suppose to drop, but I don't think it's necessary. I used one of those point-and-read IR temp guns and the side of my engine oil pan was 100°F after about two hours. That's plenty warm. I got the 2-pack, 2"x5", 80 watt units. The adhesive was plenty tacky but, I always reinforce the edges with high heat gas and oil resistant RTV adhesive. These work really well. It's only mid December so it hasn't gotten really really cold yet here in S. Central Alaska. The coldest I've seen so far has been -5°F. When the temp is above 10°F, I unplug them.Very happy with these so far.DISCLAIMER: As a participant in the Amazon Vine Program,I rigorously evaluate new products and provide authentic, unbiased reviews based solely on my firsthand experiences and perceptions. Please note that I do not receive any compensation for my reviews.

Ordered these for cold weather starts on my old diesel. Even though it starts right up, the engine sounds pretty rough (well, rougher than usual for an old idi diesel) for a while until the oil gets circulating. One of these pads should do the trick to warm that oil up on extra cold mornings.Tested this out prior to install and it gets too HOT to handle in seconds!I selected these particular heat pads because of the junction in the cord. This allows me to disconnect the power cable during warm months. The kit comes with a cap to seal the junction on the pad side too.Installation tip: make sure to clean your oil pan thoroughly to ensure good adhesion.Overall a well thought-out product that performs well.
