Just installed these hood struts on my 1991 Z28. Don’t know how long they will last due to the hood being so heavy. I have replaced them several times before with various brands and they don’t seem to last too long. GM should have used a fiberglass hood instead of the steel hood. The clips are a little too big so you may have to either bend them to work or re use your old ones. Took me about 20 mins to replace them.

Remove both old struts before installation, the hood will rise and the new struts will install. However, don't do one at a time or the new ones will seem to long. Use something to prop the hood up before removing old struts.

I reused my OEM clips on these as the supplied ones did not seem to grip like they should. Keeps my third gen steel hood up.
