This item doesn’t work the way it was shown on the video. I cut my hand even with a towel wrapped around the end of it for grip. Would not recommend

Corn is out of season at the moment, but I like it so much I have worked for years trying to grow and cook great corn.Part of this is going from picking to shucking to cooking ASAP, because as soon as you pick it, the sugars start turning to starches, so be ready and be quick if you want to max out the sweetness of your corn. Already have your water hot.Problem is if I eat it from the cob it gets stuck in my teeth and gives me this low-level annoyance throughout the meal. Instead, I'll eat it after it's been cooked and removed from the cob.Typically, we do this with a knife and that works fine, but it's a flat "shave" and cuts through the juicy flesh, and so not the best. I have not used these utensils since corn is out of season, but look forward to trying them. Tools like this can enhance the enjoyment of a meal. The long tool is for pushing downward against cooked kernels on the cob. The short one with the flat roundish head is for pulling up on raw cobs. The one with the spikes is for getting a good hold of the cob and keeps your hand away, especially for the raw kernel tool, but I'm not sure yet if it's needed. Instead, you could cover your hand with a dishtowel or use a glove designed for use with a mandoline. I do like that the demo video shows the cob in a saucepan to provide angle and stability...looks like a good idea.Any questions about durability or rust resistance will be answered in time. For now, I'm looking forward to summer.

Another gadget for the kitchen drawer! I love the set. I always cut the corn off the cob. (My wife does not.) Mostly because I have a beard and I don't like wearing my food. To each their own.

This might be something better in theory, but practice might help. The peeler did work for me, but so does corn in a can.

These tools for cutting corn off the cob work just fine. I thought they would be better than just using a knife to cut it, as I have done my whole life. But, really not much easier or difference. Nice set just the same. Also, this set would make a great gift!

I got one of these for my older brother for Christmas and he looked at me like I had lost my mind. I had to explain it. We are super happy with it now. I love that it makes it easier for people with dentures to consume fresh corn.

Canned corn just can't complete with fresh corn. Yes, I have other corn cob contraptions, but I'll be donating them right away. That's how easy and quickly these peelers get the job done. I have veneers (never get veneers) and I always worry about popping one off when eating corn and ribs (opps did that). These gadgets are made of stainless steel and resistant to rust. The blades are sharp and it is easy to cut the corn off. You just need a towel to hold the hot cobs and few practice swipes. I like the one that pushes the corn right into the bowl. One of my favorite cobs is grilled on the BBQ's with butter and spices. Add some real corn flavor to your soups and salads. Easy to wash, just put it in the top rack of your dishwasher.I highly recommend these corn cob peelers. Fresh corn on the cob season is coming just around the corner. Just wait till you pass these peelers around the table and you see how many people say something like, 'these are awesome, where did you get them'. Enjoy yours today!

This 2 piece corn peeler set came with a corn scraper (the shorter peeler with a somewhat razor like shape/serrated edge) and a corn blade (the longer peeler with a curved, non-serrated edge). These items are constructed from stainless steel, they are solidly built and should be quite durable, they have been easy to use/work with, they clean-up quite easily, and they have worked as advertised to date! From the items instructions, the corn scraper is more designed for removing the corn kernels from frozen corn, while the corn blade is best used for removing cooked corn kernels. To conclude, I am certainly pleased and satisfied with this corn peeler set, thus far, and in addition to this item being as described and advertised, I personally think that they are a good value at the currently listed sale price---Recommended!Please see my pics of this corn peeler set for a number of good visuals.
