Bars have a rough finish to them, still have the burs from being cut and a corner is dented pretty bad, a couple of the sides are pretty scratched up. All of that isnt a big deal but what i am a little upset about is the bars dont even match up length wise so i measure and sure enough one bar is perfect dimensions and the other one is a 1/8th inch short. I needed 2 bars the same length and width so some extra work on my end but overall its not too shabby and will get er done

Some people have complained that these blocks are rough finished. These blocks are intended to be machined into something do the exterior finish doesn’t really matter. If you want a polished block, that’s a different product. I needed to make an adapter for my parking brake bracket and these were good chunks of aluminum for the job.

I wasn’t to sure what the surface was going to be like, it’s full of small lines from the manufacturing process. A few hours of wet sanding and some buffing and they are polished.While wet sanding I was able to see that the one side is flatter then the other”the center is recessed” , I was able to flatten with minor sanding.The end cuts are very square cuts, both blocks are the same size.They shipped in double boxes so they arrived safely and no disfigurement.Quick free shipping even though I was given a 3 week+ ETA.

Good blocks of aluminum. I haven’t milled it yet. I bought for a future project. But seems to be all good.

The aluminum arrived well packaged and the ends of the aluminum stock were cut cleanly. Very nice! I could have gone down to a local steel supply and searched through their drops just to save ten bucks but the time I saved buying exactly the size I needed was worth it.

These blocks are quite nice. They are fairly flat--certainly good enough for for the press I'm making. One did have a little ding on one edge which doesn't effect the use, but it is ugly. Still, couldn't find anything similar for less. The blocks do drill and tap easily.
