The odor was so bad that I left these in my garage for more than a month. I ended up removing them from the string and redoing it. That being said, they are exactly what I was looking for.

Nice length, well painted, and the tassels are good sized in proportion to the bead size. Perfect valentine decor. I placed them around my battery operated candles. Great purchase.
