WHAT'S Air Conditioner Contactor ?
An AC contactor is an electrical switching device that can switch an electrical circuit on and off.
Economizer circuits are employed to reduce the amount of power used by the contactor coil during operation.
AC Contactors are used mostly in applications where high current carrying capacity is required.
AC contactors have shading coils that delay demagnetization of the magnetic core to avoid chattering.

Only had it a few months but I've had a stuck contactor stuck in the on position with one previous contactor and more recently had one that kept cutting out as it was burned. Replaced with this and I'm back in the game, back in air conditioning and heat. Got a spare in case this one ever fails as well.Take pics of what goes where before removing the old unit so you have something to refer back to should you get distracted.
