when it works, it's very fast. i bought two of these and both behave the same exact way. seems like a bad engineered product. the vertical USBA design is horrible. if it isn't perfectly aligned with your case, inserting USBA devices is a pain. It's a card with only 3 ports, so they could have easily placed them horizontally instead of vertial. as i said, when devices are recognized, performance is ok, speedy but gets very annoyoing when you devices getting power but not recognized by OS.
