Your cart is empty.Purple Leaf Sand Cherry is a deciduous shrub that when mature can have a height of 6-10 feet tall and a spread of 5-8 feet. It is recognizable by its reddish purple foliage that keeps its color all summer. Ovate-elliptical leaves (to 2” long) with serrate margins are a distinctive and attractive reddish purple. Fragrant, solitary, white flowers (1/2” across) with pink tints bloom in spring (April) after the foliage emerges. Flowers give way to an often meager production of small blackish-purple fruits (to 3/4”) that mature in July. Fruits are eaten by birds. Requires full sun in zones 2-8. Plants ship dormant in the winter months. Images shown are of full mature plants. Planting instructions will be included with purchase.

The bushes were carefully packed.The potted roots were wrapped in plastic and aluminum foil and were still moist. Got them potted up right away and they are looking good. I would definitely order these again.

Very small and fragile looking having only 3 or 4 leaves. But well watered and packaged. I'm a plant lover, so I will do my best to make them thrive.

They were no more than twigs. I expected a little more robust plant. One of 6 has already died.
