I have the typical two car garage that will only fit one car. We have stuff on shelves and in cabinets that basically make it impossible to put both vehicles inside. So, when we do park the one vehicle in the garage there is plenty of room to park but, the doors opening is another story. Every single time one of my kids opens the car door, they bang it against the cabinets, and it leaves a scuff on the cabinet and multiple times it has caused damage to the car door. It's not major damage just little chips on the edge of the door frame but still. Since I have installed the pads along my cabinets, there is no longer any worry about the car door receiving damage. The adhesive pad unrolled and was installed very easily. The pad is thick enough to absorb the impact of the door hitting it and it will not damage the cabinet now either. The absorption of the impact functions exactly the way it is intended. The pad is very high quality. For the price of the pad, they work extremely well for the protection they give. My cabinets don't look bad with the black stipe running down them and I no longer have to worry about how my kids handle the car doors. Money well spent!

These rolls provide you with about 15 feet of self adhesive foam strip to protect you car door from dings and scratches in your garage.At first I was thinking of applying it with a ripple effect to improve the protection but once I was holding it in my hands it was clear that this 1/4" of dense foam would provide all of the protection my car doors would need.I suggest that you carefully measure where the point of contact needs to be because this sticky backing will not peel off too easily

I use these in my basement because my boys have done a number to the walls from racing around in their large ride-in little tikes cars, trucks and other larger toys. I did not use the adhesive to adhere them to the wall as I wanted to avoid ripping paint off the walls when it came time to remove them (we rent), so I used a staple gun. Time will tell how well these hold up against my boys.
