The pull chain on my blind is far too long; one of these connectors helped me shorten it to a more reasonable length.They snap shut with a satisying click. The only way I can see to open them is to yank the chain, which might cause damage, so proceed with caution. I'm glad they are clear(ish). They blend fine with my white chain, and holding them next to some of the stainless steel in my house makes me think they'd be pretty unobtrusive on a silver chain as well. If you have a black chain, you may want to find these in black.You will probably want a rubber band or tape to ensure the container that holds the connectors stays closed.Overall they work as expected. A 50 pack was a little much for my needs, but now I have lots to give away to friends!

These work just fine to join two ball chains together. You normally find some that don't latch but I haven't found that with any of these. They work just fine and snap together perfectly.
