. Just fill with water and they do the rest. Just fill with water weekly.

These work really well. I like being able to adjust the drip of the water. Just make sure you use a bottle that has a tall mouth. I use a soda bottle. I do wish the spike were a little longer to help the bottle stand up better. I had to poke a very small hole in the bottom of the bottle to get the flow working. I would purchase these again.
