These make great shelf brackets. Have used them in our kitchen for open shelving and my office to display my antique toys. Well made, paint is well done, screws are heavy duty. Couldn’t be happier.

Purchased 20 and they are perfect. With the five inch length, they will work with a 1x8 (7 1/4) which is just about the right size for most shelves. A 1x6 is 5 1/4 so it fits well also. Very sturdy and easy to install. I just used my last five and for the price I will be happy to just have them around for when I need them.

These did exactly what I wanted. They are a good value expesually for the quality. The color doesn't scratch easily and the are sturdy for the size. They look great in my application very uniform and crisp edges.

I bought one set of these last year, and a second set this year.The first set worked well. The countersinks for the screwheads are on the outside, so the screws recess nicely when installed.On this year's set, the countersinks were, for some reason, placed on the inside. This means they face the wood, and the screwheads stick out.I'm not returning them (not really worth it and I had to use them quickly), but the lack of QC is annoying.And a side note: The set comes with a nice bag of screws. However, the screws are of two different sizes (length and thread pitch). The longer ones grab the wood nicely, the shorter ones not as well. Note that all of the screws have the same diameter, so they DO fit the brackets.

I needed about 40 of these to brace some railings on a deck, and they have proven to be a terrific buy. The inclusion of the screws really added to the value (have you bought a box of screws lately?), though the screws are just barely heavy duty enough for my purposes. But they were good enough, and the screw holes on the brackets are big enough to accept the next-size-up screw if you need something heavier duty. The quality of the brackets is really excellent and they are beautifully finished with a satin black paint. I could not be happier with these brackets and would look for something just like them if I needed another set for another project.
