These self tapping screws work great! While they are marketed for sheet metal, they are also at home in wood applications. The kit comes with a LOT of screws. There a 7 different lengths, and they are all definitely well made and from stainless steel. This means you can use them anywhere, even in hight humidity without worry. You won't know you need these until you need one. Get some before you find yourself without!

This set of #8 & #10 sheet metal screws are convenient sizes to keep on hand. These are sizes that really help me with lots of jobs around the house. Plus, you get a good variety of lengths from 1/2" to 2” and lots of them, 200 in total. The tips do a nice job to minimize the chances of splitting the wood or for cutting through sheet metal. The drill bit type action cuts a nice “pre-drill” in the wood for the body of the screw. The quality of construction is solid and strong. The hex heads are well shaped and the socket on the nut driver holds them firmly and securely. The stainless steel is a nice finish to help stop rusting. These screws come in a convenient plastic case and the 2” #10 screws include a nylon washer. Not sure why only that size, but it is a nice addition. This set of sheet metal self-tapping screws is a good value.

Nice little assortment of hex head self tappers. I've used quite a few already - about the only thing I noticed right away is that sometimes these hex head screws also offer a philips in the head as well. It's not a huge deal, but I also have a few #2 bits in my bag or stuck to my driver, but not always a hex head bit. Quality feels good so far - I've really driven them in well and haven't stripped them yet.

Wide variety assortments like these are always great to have on hand for fixit’s or projects. Self-tapping is a term bandied around a lot here on Amazon for screws that just have a sharp tip, but these are the real deal. The tips cut right thru sheet metal and sink effortlessly into wood without splitting. This kit provides #8’s and #10’s in 1/2" to 2” lengths. Hex heads are great in that you can apply the maximum amount of torque with a socket instead of a bit, and not have to worry about stripping them out or the bit slipping out. Either a 9/32” or 7mm socket will drive the #8’s and a 5/16” or 8mm socket will drive the 10’s. They are divided up into separate compartments for easy visual access, and the box seems very sturdy. Excellent set at a very reasonable price. Reommended!

This is a great set of self tapping sheet metal screws to have in the house for various projects. I had ordered an item that was made of stainless steel and it came without the a set of screws, so I got this set to use to put it together. These worked really well as replacement screws, and as they are self tapping, so they worked in places where they were different than the original screws. They are stainless steel so they will work outside without rusting and seem really strong.I've only used a handful of them, but they worked great and I've got lots left over for future projects. It's always good to have spare screws around the house.

I needed a good assortment of self tapping stainless screws for attaching plastic housings to mild 12ga steel these worked well and i used my impact gun to sink them and did not snap any of them.

I needed some sheet metal screws a various sizes. This product checked all those boxes. The self-tapping threads are convenient so that you don't have to pre-drill into metal and ruin your nicer bits. So far, I haven't snapped any heads off of any of these with my impact. I'm optimistic that that trend will remain. The organizer is a little flimsy but it works. Just don't stand on it or drop it for many type of height then it should last and keep everything from going everywhere. Overall I'd buy again. It's not the best value per screw but you do get a good variety for the price.
