Definitely takes a little practice to use the tools included; it took me four tries to get the "socket" or receiving snap right. The "stud" was easier. The socket had some metal shavings and didn't look particularly clean, but it functions.I did a pull test on 10 oz cotton and the stud ripped out on the 15th or so try. So I decided to not use these and I'm buying sew on snaps instead. I would only purchase this for something heavier weight.The hole punch that came with it bent on my first try at punching a hole in the 10oz cotton. So if you are using the snaps for something heavy weight, don't use the punch! Give it to a kiddo for paper or something.

Weak hole punch. Bent first time used. The small hole punch too dull to make hole. Had to sharpen to use.Convex tool does not form correctly. It mashes it.

Sometimes ya get the cheap version, this is the real stainless. Magnet will not pick them up, so all good. Seems of good quality and snap down tight, no play.

I had purchased an open cardigan, but I really wanted one that closed. So I bought these snaps to keep the garment closed. The sweater came with a ridge that was perfect putting the snaps into. It worked well and efficiently.

Great price and they actually work very well. Have bought other low priced (and even high priced) snaps & grommets in the past, and had problems with them installing poorly. These curl over evenly and have a perfect shape. They snap together without interference from the rivetted core. Really nice quality. I'm shocked. The little storage box is pretty handy too.

I agree with most of the reviews. The snaps are very poor quality, and half the time crush, making them useless. I will definitely not waste my time with them.I did not receive the hole punch either, which now I am not very upset over.I would never use these snaps for anything of importance on my boat.
