My original engine threw some bearings when I allowed it to get just a little bit low on oil and was in the middle of tuning. As a result, I had to buy a new STI short block and piece together a 'new' engine. These parts combined perfectly to my stock heads, as you don't want to risk having metal pieces in the old ones or to have them malfunction when they should be varying timing. I also got an improved oil pickup, pump, head studs without breaking the bank to get my car back and the ability to modify a little (up to e85 and 24psi with a VF52). These are a worthy investment if you've destroyed your old engine and don't want to destroy the new one. Come in the original factory sealed boxes like you would expect brand new from a Subaru warehouse.

Mine were worn out not holding oil pressure. Installed new one worked perfectly.
