Battery compartment is full of battery acid, lights and sounds function dont work. Appearance wise, toy is in good shape... But that's really it.

saved this as a gift for my little one opened it to find the battery port rusted. had to do some serious work to get it working. got the odd size battery in and the lights didn’t work and it makes an odd buzz sound. Not the best purchase experience or best toy from hess.

Just gave this to my Grandson as a gift. Said new condition. Looked new with battery tab still intact. It doesnt work & is past my return date. My husband opened the battery area & the battery has leaked all over. The off/on button is frozen. He'll try to clean it but not too hopeful. waste of $18. Was from 2005 so you would think they would have take the battery out for storage.

This is a Hess vehicle, which to us means quality. We have many Hess vehicles. This one was a disappointment. The batteries had corroded so much that even with a fresh set, it won’t work.

Battery compartment was full of corrosion. Cleaned it up. Placed brand new batteries in compartment. Didn't work. Wish I had read the reviews, I wouldn't have purchased it. Shame on you, Amazon, for selling this crap. This thing destroyed my confidence in you.

The helicoper was in good shape but the batteries were corroded. Would have been better if batteries had been removed.
