Heavy but not too heavy. Nice engraving. Pretty bell sound. Bought it for a gift exchange for a member of my book club and it was well-liked. Looks elegant to me. Would purchase again if I were in need of another gift.

The bell is really pretty. The way it was shipped was NOT. No protection, the flimsy box it was shipped in was smashed because it was shipped in in a plastic shipping bag. It was supposed to be a gift for a ladies Christmas get together. It would have received 5 stars if a little more care was taken with the shipping.
