Works great just don't try to do too much at one time. Had to cut the big breast's in half before slicing others worked wonderful.

How to cut meat? "a Sawing Motion" You need to go back and forward, like a normal saw.

Tips: Please do not use the back of the knife to cut meat.

We make jerky every so often. Chicken, beef, pork – it’s all good. We’ll get the meat slicer machine out, set the thickness and run the meat, one slice at a time until we’ve collected about 3-5 pounds. It can be very time consuming. When I saw a meat slicer that can do several slices at once, I was interested.After assembling the stand, place your meat about 4” long into the cavity. Remove the cover from the blade and see-saw thru. DO NOT put your hand anywhere underneath or in the path of the blade. These blades are super sharp! The stand should suction to your countertop very strong – no need to support it. Depending on how you have your knife setup, you can have 2 or 4mm slices. I used this as a 2mm slice and got very consistent slices.The product listing and included instructions say only boneless meat that is fresh, not frozen. I used this on some pork tenderloin and it worked very well. This tool absolutely makes the slicing task a lot easier, so as long as 4” or so. For jerky lovers, this will speed up the process.I can’t stress enough, before cutting, keep your hands away from the path of the blade and don’t hold the base. Outside of that, this is a very good tool when used appropriately.

I ordered this slicer specifically to cut beef for steak subs and stir fry. The idea of thin and even thickness appealed to me. I am doing this to save money, so I am also trying cheaper cuts of meat first.Assembly is very easy. The suction cup base stuck firmly to my marble countertop. It DID take some sawing and pressure so I'm glad it stayed firmly stuck to counter. After following directions from enclosed booklet, I also looked at the videos provided to get extra help.I tried my first batch using fresh flank steak. I know it is better quality to use sirloin or prime rib but I was going for low cost. My first attempt failed! Would not cut at all! I went back to video and noticed a "this side up" label on the cutter in video. MY cutter does NOT have this label, so I turned k. upside-down and tried again. This time it worked, although with some effort. There was no fat or gristle in the cut, but it was cheaper flank steak. As I cut each piece of meat, I got a better feel for it and it cut easier. I also cut with the double "thin" blades, and I assume that if you remove the second set to cut thick, there should be even less effort.The slices were consistent and about bacon thick when using the thin setup blades. It did make great steak subs!The kit comes with several cleaning brushes, which enhance safe cleaning if hand washing.I'm not sure how long the blades stay sharp and I don't know if they can be sharpened. Time will tell. So far I am happy and will be doing beef stir fry next time.

I purchased this to help me make uniform cuts of meat for jerky. The only issue.. is I didn't realize how small it was. You can only fit a small chunk of meat in at a time, and it takes a little bit of work to slice through it. I did get even thickness slices of meat, but I can't honestly say it really improved my quality of life by reducing the time it takes to slice meat. After a few uses, it just sits in the cabinet while I went back to hand slicing. If you came across the product while looking for a slicer to make your life easier for jerky.. I'd probably pass on it. I can't comment on its other uses.
