Got this for my pj style bump helmet to replace the original straps. This one is way better suspending the helmet on your head and keeping it steady while still being comfortable and with the cable cinch system lets you control the amount of pressure and fit to your head. It is a lot more comfortable than the original as well

I know that this is originally designed for an EX helmet, but I was able to install it on my PJ pretty easily. The original chin strap/headgear of my helmet was a four point connection and this six point connection is far superior. Not only is the pad in the rear more ergonomic, but the increased number of attachment points coupled with the manual tension adjustment, make this strap system incredibly comfortable. This was definitely a major upgrade.Installation was pretty straightforward. All I had to do was remove the side-rail retention screws and utilize the nuts from the original headgear that came with the helmet. This process did involve popping the old retaining nut out of the plastic housing of the old headgear (see pic) to re-use. These nuts had the advantage of being designed with two metal wraparound wings that fit to either side of the straps on this headgear very well (see pic). The middle straps were just mounted at the same point as the front straps to complete the six total points.The best part of this chinstrap system is that it made my helmet fit so much better. When I originally ordered my helmet, I picked a larger size because my head circumference landed right in between the two size ranges. This resulted in my helmet being just a little too big. This headgear completely resolved that issue, because I am able to tighten the headgear in the forward direction to clamp it right to my noggin. The quick release design of the tensioners on either side of the chinstrap also make adjustment there super simple as well.All in all, I really love this headgear.

This system can replace your current harness or be installed if you are building your own helmet. This does not come with mounting bolts but my originals worked.The dial feels very similar to a TW dial but a little on the cheaper side. For the price, this makes sense. I feel that the dial will last and does the job quite well. There is a good amount of adjustment but if you have a giant head, this one may not fit you.

I recently purchased a helmet suspension kit for my airsoft setup after last season's gear left a painful impression on my forehead. I installed it in my EX helmet, and wow, it feels like my head is being cradled by tiny angels on memory foam pillows. The adjustments are straightforward, and the padding breathes well, so no sweat disasters during the match. I did run into a bit of a struggle during installation, but it wasn’t too difficult. Overall, I’ve transformed my helmet from a "forehead crusher" to a "comfy cap protector." It's definitely a good upgrade!

i had trouble with mine until i realized my fmatal helmet has the screw type harness and not whatever this strap style has. i assume that ex helmets are different than the ones they sell on amazon. i did check the fmatal listing and their store before hand. i didtn see any other helmets or any other strap systems so i assumed they both would work. weird to sell two items that dont work together and not have any other listings available. but oh well live and learn the build quality is great. just wish everything was a bit more interchangeable.
