I decided to DIY a pergola, and these brackets saved me from a potential "nailed it" Pinterest fail. The installation was easy, making me feel like a professional without needing to actually be one. The sturdy brackets and wood-grain finish blend nicely with the outdoor setting. However, be careful to check your lumber dimensions closely—they fit 3.6x3.6 inches, not a true 4x4. Overall, the build is sturdy, and it looks great. I would give it four stars for easy installation, minus one star for the confusion regarding lumber size.

Size is perfect. These are really heavy duty, for the price. Super nice wood look and can't wait to put them to use in covering my garden. Exactly what I wanted, worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this product and company to others looking for this style of product.

Surprisingly heavy. Each comes wrapped in bubble wrap to protect the wood grain finish. Machining and welds all look good.

These 4x4 connectors are indeed heavy duty and also beautiful! I love the wood grain look! They feel very solid and, well, heavy. When you put a 4x4 into the opening it fits well. It's not too snug but there's also not a lot of play. This makes it very easy to get in place. Once screwed in it feels very secure. The provided screws are fairly thick and have both a Phillips head and hex head, plus they provided the hex bit that fits them perfectly. The hex bit also has a magnet built in to make it even easier to use without losing screws in the process. I'm really happy with this kit and can see many projects where it would be useful for frame building!

Using these to build a cover over a patio. These work great and and the 2x4 wood fits snugly and is easy to anchor together. They look great and are a good price compared to big box stores. Being a DIYer, I highly recommend these to make the project ALOT easier!

These brackets are nicely painted with a wood grain pattern. They're heavyweight. I had hoped that I would be able to run 1 solid piece of 4x4 through the top linear portion, but that cannot be done due to partitioning inside the bracket itself.Other than that, the reason I deducted 1 star is for the loose fit. I tried this bracket with a few different pieces of 4x4 that I have, and all of them fit very loosely in this bracket. Loose enough that I can get quarters and nickles around all sides of the wood.

We are preparing to setup our pergola at our property and wanted to make a large enough covering to serve as a patio for 6 or more people to be comfortable.These T-shaped steel brackets are heavy duty and will be perfect for putting in the middle of the structure. They easily fit the 4x4 beams we will be using and will make assembly simple and fast. I went from dreading the project to being excited about it.They also look decent with a fake "wood look". We might end up painting them if we go with a black motif on the structure, but either way these will work well for our expected setup (20' by 10' in size).
