We go ice fishing and the generator usually goes in back of the pickup truck. It gets around-20 to -50 degrees on the lake and we try protecting the equipment as best as we can. You can imagine that running the generator in back of an enclosed pickup truck gets hot and smells like exhaust especially after a week. I wanted to run something like this out one of the windows. During the summer we take the cap off the truck and in the winter we put it back on. This seems to screw on to the exhaust port. Ill probably remove the spark arrestor and put it back on if it's necessary later on but out on a frozen lake I don't see it's entirely necessary.I like this setup and the quality of everything in the kit. I believe this will be a whole lot better!
