I have a cheaper version of these, they work but the pins don't insert as tightly as they do in these headers. They appear to be real gold coated too. They break nicely so I can choose however many I need for my project. I wish I had these a while back for some other projects.

I got these hoping I could insert Arduino/ESP32 male pins into them, however, the male pins are square and too large for these holes. They also do not clip cleanly like other female headers I have used. Instead of clipping straight through the insulating material, the break ends up exposing the side of one of the neighboring pins, so you basically lose a usable pin (or more) at every break. DIP package pins and round jumper wires do fit in these snugly, so I assume they're only meant to be used with round male leads. These might be okay if they separated better.
