WHY DO WE NEED VOLTSET 12V SOLAR BATTERY TRICKLE CHARGER MAINTAINER?

  • Batteries naturally discharge - Automotive batteries naturally discharge when not in use.
  • Vehicles have a small but constant battery drain - Modern vehicles have upwards of 30 body control modules (computers), alarm systems, immobilizers, and lock monitoring. These units all consume electricity from the battery.
  • Battery life is shortened if it is not kept charged - A 12V battery that is not correctly maintained above 12.4V can suffer from sulphation. Sulphation is the main cause of battery failure. That's why the auto battery easily goes dead when vehicles are left standing for long periods.

Tips:

  1. This solar panel charger is designed for year-round maintenance and trickle charging 12V battery, which can extend the battery life.
  2. Unlike other PET material, our solar panel charger is made of ETFE panel surface for over 2 times more solar light reabsorption, maximizing solar energy to improve the charging efficiency.
  3. Utilizes high-quality monocrystalline silicon solar cells with a remarkable 30% solar charging conversion efficiency.
  4. With built-in charge controller, the solar battery charger won't consume any power at night, keep charging all day with direct sunlight.
  5. 20W solar battery maintainer is suitable for all type of 12V batteries, and provide full protection against overcharge, overvoltage, anti-reverse charge, over discharge, short circuit, and more.
  6. Built to endure outdoor conditions with an IP67 waterproof rating, crafted from high-quality EVA material and PCB backplane for an extended service life.
  7. 20W solar car charger is also perfect for small off-grid systems, it comes with various adapter extension cords, making it an ideal choice for solar panel beginners.

How to Choose Effortless Power Connection for Your Battery?

1. O-Ring Cable Durability: Opt for the O-ring cable for a lasting connection to maintain your car battery. Perfect for those who prefer a secure setup without the need for frequent disassembly.

2. Alligator Clip Efficiency: The alligator clip cable is the most quick way to connect your 12 volt battery. However, it's advised not to engage while the vehicle is in motion to prevent potential short circuits caused by looseness.

3. Cigarette Lighter Cable Versatility: For those choosing the convenience of a power outlet connection, the cigarette lighter cable is at your service.Note that in some car models, the cigarette lighter may not operate when the ignition is turned off. So the panel won't charging while cigarette lighter not operate. In such cases, opting for alligator clips or O-rings is recommended for reliable connectivity.

4. Suction Cup Adaptability: Enhance your setup with the versatile suction cups, suitable for both interior and exterior placement on car glass. A practical solution providing stability and flexibility in installation.

This solar trickle charger works great to keep my car battery charged as it's stored over winter. The 10 watts seem to be enough to keep the battery from dying in cold temperatures. The device feels solidly built and was easy to install. I just clamp it on the battery terminals, run the cord carefully out the hood, and either set the solar panel on the windshield or run the cord through the door to sit the panel on the dash. The panel is fairly lightweight and easy to handle. Overall this is a good value for the money as it saves me having to buy a new battery every year.

This was a game-changer this winter. When it's snowy out I can't really drive in my two-wheel drive car so it sits for a few days and when the temperature was -20 for a couple of days my battery seemed to drain. So this year I put this on the battery and just set the solar panel on the hood and it keeps my battery charged up. I love it. Great price.

This is an excellent solar charger. It’s used to keep our motorcycles battery powered during the winter, when the weather doesn’t allow to ride. The charge is constant, it’s very easy to install, light in weight, but mighty. It works!!

So far after one weeks use it has performed flawlessly. Recovered our travel trailer battery from a 1/2 charge after boondocking to full after just a few days of sun. I did have to upgrade the size of the suction cups on the side the charge controller is on. (We mount this to the outside top curved face of the trailer) The actual unit appears well constructed and waterproof. Looking forward to continuing to test, including use while using battery camping, and will update this revies accordingly. We had bought a competitor for a little less money that worked well until it was flipped over by a Nor'easter and filled with water and failed. Only time will tell but this unit appears to be sealed better than the last one.

Collects enough energy to keep 3 large cap. Odyssey batteries at 12.2-12.3V even on cloudy days.Placing the panel on the roof isn't practical in the winter because of frequent snow falls. So I may get a foot of snow overnight when it's coldest and the vehicle needs the most of it's starting power. This one panel seems to do the trick from behind the dusty windshield. Thinking I may have to add another panel for winter months- we shall see. When the panel is outside and facing the unobstructed sun directly, the free (no load) voltage it produces is 21.5-23V. Which is reduced to 13.0 to 13.4 once plugged into the cig. lighter type receptacle or a bulb load. When inside the vehicle, the panel shows 16 to 19 no load volts, or 12.1- 12.4 V plugged in. The pics are taken at sunset with a partly cloudy sky. Still 12.2 V as one can see. The trickle current measures at 175 ma DC, +- 20 ma. (about 800+ma when the panel is out of the vehicle facing the sun).Tried the panel in neighbors pickup with 2 normal size batteries. The windshield is bigger and the panel was laying on the dash facing up into the sky. Once plugged in, the voltage was 13.0 to 13.4 V when sun rays hit it and 12.9V when raining. About what my alternator puts out. Looks like good trickle voltage and amps. The green light (fully charged) never lit- think once the batteries are full, the built-in controller will cut the trickle charge.Thinking the gadget should last since it will not be exposed to outside moisture. Not overly flexible, but enough not to shatter like glass would. Not so important for my applicationUPDATE: Added a second panel in parallel. It increased the overall system voltage by .25 V, like from 12.2 to 12.5V. Keeps my batteries nice and happy with snow all around and temp down to low teens.Think a single panel would be enough if faced up into the sky.

I have an Exmark Lazer Z 60" that's too big to park inside, so I keep it outside with a cover on it.The typical lawn and garden battery it has needs to be charged or maintained or the mower may not start and/or would not have enough power to engage the electric PTO for more than about 15 minutes and the mower would die when running it.I've been using a Battery-Tender 800, but that means having a cord out laying across the the ground and after about a year, the cord would get stiff and weathered to the point where it was no longer usable... plus it just looks bad.Alternately, I have to charge the battery before I mow for about two hours, which is also a hassle.I tried a cheap Coleman 2 watt solar panel charger I picked up at tractor supply, but it didn't keep the battery charged and didn't even seem like it was doing anything.I received this and was cautiously optimistic because it looked more substantial than the other one I had and better technology, so I hooked it up, placed it on top of the cover and left it for a week. For the first test, I connected my plug-in battery charger to the battery and it went through the conditioning cycle for a few minutes, then switched over to charge and within one minute, indicated the battery was "Full".The battery would've been at around 50% or less when I connected this solar charger to it, so that was a pretty good result.During the week, we had two days of rain, two days of clouds and the last three days were sunny. Where the mower is parked, it only gets about 4 hours of direct sunlight, so it's not totally ideal, but the charger did its job anyway. This unit is only ten bucks more than the 2 watt I bought at TS, so that's a great deal considering it actually works.Time will tell how it holds up and if it continues to perform as it did with the initial test and I will come back and update my review if it doesn't last... but for now, it's all good.It was also shipped and received fast.5- Stars!
