価格相応の見え方です。中心部は良いですが周辺部はボケと歪が目立ちます。倍率が高いので仕方がないかと思いますが、アクロマートのはずだけど。LEDは何気に便利です。メーカーのサイトにいってもバッテリの型式が判らず、漁っているうちにどこかのサイトでLR927とありました。バッテリボックスを開けると+側の接点がぷらんとあり、これが仕様？倍率は20倍となっていますが微妙です。価格的に紛失や割れてもギリ我慢できるので屋外観察で活躍はしそうです。10倍の国内メーカと、ドイツブランドのルーペと使い分けしています。上下逆さまに見えるという評は、高倍率ルーペならではの目に近づけて使用をしていないのかと思います。

Item is solid and would work well - but I do need it to have a further focal distance -- not sure why they dont include focal distances w these product descriptions

Sono estremamente soddisfatto di questa lente. É difficile trovare buone lenti in queste fasce di prezzo che non siano delle cinesate totali. Questa offre 20 ingrandimenti, e mi sembrano 20 ingrandimenti reali. La luce al led é estremamente efficace e fa il suo lavoro, e fra l'altro é necessaria perché per essere a fuoco l'oggetto deve stare a circa 1cm/mezzo cm dalla lente. Questo non é un difetto, é proprio come funzionano questo tipo di lenti. A quella distanza non si puó illuminare efficacemente con una luce esterna quindi é necessaria la luce integrata. Non ho ancora provato quanto duri la batteria ma non é un problema: la lente arriva con una chiavetta che permette di aprire lo scompartimento batterie. La batteria é inserita in un modo strano, e non so bene come tirarla fuori da dietro. Probabilmente userò una piccola calamita o uno spillo.Corpo interamente in metallo e solido. Non so se sia alluminio, ma in ogni caso é in metallo. Anche lo scompartimento batterie è in metallo: ottimo, sono sicuro che col tempo e senza forzare niente la filettatura non si danneggerà a furia di cambiare batterie (come invece accadrebbe se il vano fosse di plastica).Io la uso per esaminare e aggiustare i pennini delle mie penne stilografiche, lavoro per cui gli ingrandimenti sono sufficienti per permettermi di osservare i dettagli che mi serve osservare. Sicuramente in futuro comprerò della stessa marca anche la versione 10x per altri lavori.

I have a Ruper 10x loupe but needed something a little stronger for some research I am doing. It's well made with a metal body and triplet lens arrangement which helps to reduce optical aberrations. The built in LED is great, providing even illumination (you need to be very close to the subject so external lighting isn't really suitable). The long wave UV LED will induce fluorescence in some material and minerals, but is more for novelty than serious use (for me anyway).It comes in a nice stitched leather case for safekeeping when not in use. If you're familiar with the ubiquitous Ruper loupe then this is much larger (see photo) so not so easy to keep in your pocket. That aside it's a great loupe, perfect for rocks and minerals.

The optics are extremely poor, so poor in fact as to make the loupe completely unusable. Almost the entire image is very blurry. Under no circumstances purchase this item.

This is a nice loupe, you will need to hold the item you are magnifying a bit closer and you will be limited in your viewing area vs a 10x loupe but it's it does what it's designed too. I own a 10x loupe to examine diamonds and to find inclusions but it was hard to find and read the laser inscribed GIA certification number. I bought this loupe to make that process a bit easier and the LED was a big help. The 10x is still good enough for inclusions but for anything really small I would use this loupe.

20x is very high magnification for a device such as this, but the integrated LED makes it useable and effective. I tried a "B" brand without the light and it just wasn't effective without an integrated light. Works well for inspecting knife blade edges. Also use a 10X of the same brand with a light and it also works great and is easier to use.
