This product appears to be made from part resin, wood and other materials. It’s then covered in a hard black paint. Part of the heel was hollow when I tried to attach it to the body. One screw hole made completely hollowed out.

DON'T BUY! Edit: I received the replacement (after a week) and it's worse! The neck is badly finished, I have this neck perfectly screwed in (I didn't want to waste my time putting threaded inserts in again) and yet the gap is even MORE that the last neck, however this time it's not only in the pocket, it's on the fretboard also! When the frets were being finished, the guy doing the work took off way, WAY too much off the fretboard, now my 1st string is sitting just off the end of the fretboard. So, I give up. I took a star away. I'm done until I can get a neck from someone who knows what they're doing.Seemed like a good deal, matched my black partscaster, and looked like good quality. The fit was off by .43mm on each side. Not bad, considering...but I figured the paint would have filled the gaps usually found on these. Then I found high frets. No biggie, I'll do a level, crown and polish. I noticed around the 19th fret that some funny business happened there, some scratches and some dried glue. I scuffed the glue off and looked closer, I put the leveler on it and the neck was dead straight....I had to string it up to find these dead zones. All this work for nil. 7-8 dead spots where the wood acts like it fell in. Now I have to send back a piece of firewood. I sure as heck don't want to do a fret job, even if it's only 3-4 frets...I shouldn't have to.
