Works great as a secondary stop for rope grabs even when using a well used rope. Rope grabs are not 100% every time....they hit this and its going to stop your fall. You can click off to this instead of a rope grab but rope grabs are more easily moved up and down as you are working.

Works great very strong kind of expensive to replace a free knot but if you want all the strength from your ropes the best way to go
