I used the smallest size of screw eyes in this set for hanging some paintings that my dad painted. They worked perfectly and there are many more left in this set for all types of future hanging and mounting jobs. I found that drilling a pilot hole makes it a lot easier to install these in materials like wood or MDF. For drywall, you can probably just screw it right in, but don't expect it to hold much weight unless there's a stud (or joist) behind it.

The hooks are fine. It's nice to have a selection to pick from. Mostly small eye hooks. I have used a couple of the medium size with no issues. I took off two stars because the case is terrible - both catches broke when I opened it. All of the eye hooks were mixed up. I started to separate them all but realized that it's so flimsy that it would just happen again. Now I need to either get a bunch of zip lock bags or make a proper tray - not what I signed up for!!
