I just finished a paint job on my truck project and needed to wet sand out some dry spots, orange peel and a few runs. This is a great assortment to get the job done. It would be nice if there were a few pads in there at 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 grit though. They hit the right balance between ridged and flexible to be useful everywhere.

As a hobbyist wood turner, I like to work with resin from time to time and sanding resin can be a challenge/chore unto itself using regular sandpaper. However if you choose to wetsand you can cut that time down and still have an amazing finish without needing to sand upwards of 2000. These sponges are almost perfect for the type of projects I prefer to work on and can be cut down to size if need be. They come in a thin box and in a sheet form that you pull apart to get the individual sponges. While it may look like there are only 11 in total, there are 2 on each. You just pull them away from each other and you are good to go.The add states they run from P320-400, P500-600, P800-1000, P1200-1500, P2000 and 2500 and I understand each companies grit rating may be more/less than what another company might use. However, giving a high/low grit count for each pad seems weird. The ones I have are marked 400, 600, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and you receive 4 pads for each successive grit other than the 400 of which there are only 2. I almost prefer that it had been 4 of that grit and less for the 2500. However there are more than enough and they are solid performers. I generally use micromesh to finish my resin projects but these have been doing absolutely fine on their own. I keep an small bowl of cool water to resoak them as needed and afterward clip them off the shelf to dry overnight. The only place I have had any issues with these is pressing a bit harder than intended and wearing away the grit in that spot. Its the same issue I have had with micromesh, but thankfully with these they are reasonably priced. The amount and grits you receive make this a great buy. I am not sure how the grit face is adhered to the sponge itself, but it is solid and I haven't noticed any of them peeling back, even after some hard work this week.
