I bought this just in case electric goes out so I’d use the propane. We weighed the tank and 24 hours later weighed the tank again to know how much we used. We could have turned it down a small bit so it wasn't on the high side of freezing. I’ll do that next time ,but it used a regular sized of 1/2 tank. I didn’t like that I think I had it too high so it used a lot of gas . And froze my ice cube tray .Now plugging it in its doing just fine . I would recommend this item.The size is nice for extra meals you want to freeze. No noise .Appearance very nice. Quality excellent. Temperature great at what you set it as. My husband thinks it could even be a refrigerator. Because we can control the settings. I haven’t tried that yet.Hope this helps . I looked a lot for a freezer like this.

This was great to have to freeze our fish and ice. We were gone 7 days and did not have to leave camp to go buy I ice. When we go in where there is not a tiwn close by in the camp area we are in we can now have ice without worries of running out.
